Chamomile Breakfast Latte

When you think of breakfast latte you might think of Starbucks, McDonald's, or Dunkin Doughnuts. But, how about you make today different and begin each day with a handcrafted latte at home? 2 teaspoons loose chamomile mint tea

½ cup boiling water

agave nectar or honey to taste

1½ cups ice

¼ teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup unsweetened non-dairy milk (almond or oat milk preferably)

1 tablespoon of chocolate syrup

ground cinnamon for sprinkling on top



Place a tea strainer in a liquid measuring cup. Measure the chamomile into the strainer and pour the boiling water over top. Let the chamomile steep for 4 minutes. Once the 4 minutes is up, remove the tea strainer and sweeten the chamomile to your liking.

Fill your serving glass with the ice and pour the chamomile tea over top.

Add the vanilla extract, chocolate syrup, and non-dairy milk to the glass.

Slightly stir. Dust the top of the latte with cinnamon if you like.



NOTES:  "If you tend to have sweetened, vanilla-flavored non-dairy milk in stock at your house, you can skip the vanilla and sweetening step! Your glass needs to have a minimum 2 cup capacity."
