Gingerbread Latte

Even the name of this recipe evokes feelings of warmth and comfort. Ginger is another incredible ingredient that helps boost the immune system when you’re feeling down and out.

Try this ginger latte as a delicious warm drink to help you beat the cold, damp, or windy days. Even doubles as a soothing drink before bed.

2 cups of milk (or unsweetened almond milk or a milk substitute of your choice) 1 tsp of ground cinnamon 1 thumb-sized piece of ginger, peeled and sliced Seeds of half a vanilla pod or one pump of a vanilla seed paste ¼ cups of our Rooibos Tea

Honey to taste

Place the milk into a small saucepan and add the cinnamon, sliced ginger, and vanilla

Allow to gently heat over low-medium heat as you want the ginger to have a chance to steep

Add the rooibos tea and then add your preferred amount of honey to taste.

Pour into two mugs then top with froth, a sprinkle of ground cinnamon, and serve.

*If you have a milk frother, remove a portion of the heated ginger milk – remember to strain through a sieve to remove the whole ginger pieces. Froth a portion of the milk.
