Ginger Chai Colada

Summer is coming early with a creamy Ginger Chai-spiced Colada. This drink is a tropical and warming blend of summer comfort. Let's get the Summer started below.


Ingredients:

2-1/2 ounces pineapple juice

1-1/2 ounces lite coconut milk

1-1/4 ounces Ginger Chai syrup (see recipe below)

1 cup ice

Cinnamon stick for garnish




Instructions:

Ginger Chai Syrup

Boil filtered water and steep 2 tablespoons of Ginger Cardamom Chai tea for 5 minutes.

Allow it to cool for three minutes.

Strain into a glass bottle and stir in one cup of sugar until fully dissolved.

Will last, refrigerated, for up to a month.

Ginger Chai Colada

In a blender, pineapple juice, coconut milk, chai syrup, and ice.

Blend and pour into a glass.

Garnish with a cinnamon stick or Thyme sprig.


*For a thicker consistency, gradually add more ice, 1/4 cup at a time until desired consistency is reached. Can also be spiked by adding 2-1/2 ounces gold rum (use gold or amber rum for a richer taste vs white).
